About the coin and frame:
This silver coin was minted in Athens, Greece between 350 and 300 BCE and depicts the goddess Athena in Corinthian regalia on the front, and the Pegasus, on the back.
The coin frame was handmade by Goldmakers and is in 14 karat yellow gold and set with one oval-cut green tourmaline.
Goldmakers guarantees the authenticity of this coin and Purchase includes a certificate with a photograph of the necklace and information about the coin.
- Ancient coin is fine silver, minted c. 300-350 BCE, and measures 21mm across at widest point.
- Cabochon-cut green tourmaline accent stone, weighing .66 carats.
- Setting is 14k yellow gold in an olive leaf and fruit motif and is handmade in our Lawrence, Kansas studio.
- Chain is 29” long and styled to go over-the-head (no clasp) 3” of the chain is solid 14 karat gold and the other 26” are oxidized sterling silver.
